What is Praise?
Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of truimph! ......... God has gone up with a shout. The LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. Psalm 47:1;5-7 NKJV
Praise is an impassioned and energetic exaltation of God through music and song, oftentimes accompanied by dancing and shouting and clapping.
What is Worship?
But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. John 4:23-24 NKJV
The word 'worship' in the original Greek is
proskuneo, which is derived from pros, "toward" and kuneo, "to kiss". It means to blow kisses to God. Worship is an act of itimacy between man and God.
What are we doing about it?
Destiny Praise & Worship ministry is made up of a team of talented musicians and singers that love God and are dedicated to excellence of ministry. Our aim is to raise up warriors that are commited to praising God unreservedly, with all their might, in the good times and in the bad times.
In every service we endeavour to create an atmosphere of praise and worship that will usher in the presence of God and exalt Him. As a result, the Spirit of prophecy is present and there is the testimony of Christ and the evidence of His existence through signs and wonders and miracles (Rev 19:10).
