From the Psalm we find three keys to being anointed with fresh oil; 1) Thanksgiving, 2) Prayer and 3) Worship. Once we receive fresh oil it will; 1) Exalt you above your enemies, 2) You can become the source of the anointing for others, 3) You will receive favor from God and 4) God will command blessings upon your life!

Surrender to Him and be filled with fresh oil!

When you reach the end of your rope, there is help! There is hope! From the above scripture, we can identify the following three points; 1) God Knows Our Problems, 2) God Releases Our Potential and 3) God Is And Gives Our Provision. From the scripture, we also see how God expands the woman’s faith, 1) Personally, 2) Publicly and 3) Privately.

Our blessings may be limited by our capacity to receive. God wants to give us ‘twelve-inch’ blessings, but all we have is ‘eight-inch’ faith. Let us increase our faith and receive all that God has for us!

In this sermon we see that the Bible has a lot to say about money. In the above portion of scripture we see how there is a constant struggle with the flesh and the Spirit. We sometimes come to a place where we say we cannot do this anymore! We can see Paul’s anguish and we can relate to it because we too, have wanted to do good, and we have known the shame and agony of failure. We then find out later on in this sermon how Paul overcame this! We find out what he discovered that set him free!

Sin lived in Paul, but Christ lived in Paul too!

The above portion of scripture reveals the 5 things Jesus prayed for as our High Priest before He even went to the cross! The ultimate purpose of this prayer is so that God will be glorified. Jesus reveals to us what we should pray for in agreement with Him as our High Priest. 1) That They Will Live For Christ Joyfully, 2) That They Will Grow Strong Spiritually, 3) That They Will Serve Christ Effectively, 4) That They’ll Experience Unity And Fellowship Personally and 5) That They Will Bring Others To Christ!

Loving one another and maintaining unity is a vital key to our witness.

John 17:9 “I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they are Yours.” (NIV)

Luke 11:2-4: “2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins,for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation,but deliver us from the evil one.” (NKJV)

Matthew 13:19,”When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart…” (NIV)

In this sermon we see the three hindrances to answered prayer. 1) Mental agreement rather than action, 2) Listening to the word, but not absorbing It and 3) Feeling of unworthiness and inferiority. Faith is God’s mind revealed to man and the divine ability to overcome the natural realm. The disciples only asked Jesus to teach them one thing, and that was how to pray! They discovered Jesus’ secret because they observed His lifestyle of prayer. There are 3 characteristics of the healing anointing on Jesus’ life; 1) This Anointing is Transferable, 2) This Anointing is Tangible and 3) The Anointing is God. We can activate this healing anointing by faith. We can also de-activate this healing anointing by reasoning. Exodus 33:21-23,”21 And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. 22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

There is a certain ‘Place’ where God is waiting for you. In this ‘Place’, God reveals His glory to you! There are 3 things that happen here; 1) In This Place There is Power 2) In This Place There Awaits an Encounter With The Love of God, and 3) In This Place You Become One With The One. Let us enter into this ‘Place’ boldly, by the Blood of the Lamb and receive what God has for us!

James 5:16(b)-18: “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.”

To receive an answered prayer there are 3 major keys that a believer can use; 1) Be Specific: Ask God for What You Want, 2) Believe: Have Faith in God and 3) Guard Your Mind: Resist Doubt. In this teaching, these 3 points are explored in depth and give us a greater understanding of effective prayer and answered prayers!

The Glory of God cannot be taught to someone, it must be revealed. It must come via revelation. Revelation comes to those who are 1) Hungry, 2) Childlike, and it comes 3) Where we do and act. In John 12:27-28 we see Jesus is troubled. Jesus decided to glorify God’s Name in the midst of His trouble. When you glorify God in your troubled times, God will speak to you from Heaven!

1 Corinthians 2:9-10, “9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. God has secrets locked up inside of you. These secrets are hidden in the dark until you give your life to God. Through His Holy Spirit He reveals these things, these secrets to you. Press in and find the treasure within!

John 16: 23-24,“23 In that day you will ask nothing of Me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

In continuing with the series, ‘Effectual Prayer,” four prayer secrets are revealed to us in this sermon. 1) Pray To The Father in Jesus Name 2) Praying For Results 3) Praying in Agreement and 4) Praying In The Spirit. Miracles need to be worked! They don’t just happen, we must do something. There are 4 keys to Miracles: 1) You must be expectant 2) You can only give what you have 3) You must have faith and 4) You must respond immediately. Be expectant and work out what God has worked in!

Ephesians 1:16-19,”16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.”

Your sins, your failures and your bad self are not your destiny. In Christ we find our identities, our destinies and the treasures that are locked up inside of us! Discover what Christ saved you for in this life. Discover who you are!

Intimacy is the foundation of our Christian life! God answers every sacrifice with fire from Heaven. To burn with the Fire of God we must become living sacrifices. When we are in the glory of God, we have the ability to tap into our futures and see what God has planned for us in our tomorrows. We then have the ability to bring it into the now.
