This morning I would like us to look at a guy named Joseph who really experienced promotion in the midst of darkness and loneliness. He went from being a prisoner, a slave in a prison, to becoming the second highest ranking person in the nation of Egypt, which was the most powerful in the country at that time. He went from the pit to the palace! He was a success story.

Joseph’s phenomenal promotion came because of certain character qualities which he possessed. He showed that what matters in life is not your circumstances but your character. The Bible says that character, not circumstances, will determine your promotion and ultimately your outcome in life!
